The Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art is pleased to host “Renewal: K-State Art Department Faculty Biennial.” It has been several years since the museum has been the venue for the art faculty exhibition, but with new galleries we are now able to effectively display their work.

In discussions with faculty, the decision was made to organize a biennial exhibition featuring work completed within the past two years. No other restrictions were specified. The intent was to give each faculty member the freedom to select examples of their best recent work. In one sense this exhibition presents art faculty research; however, unlike an article in a professional journal, a faculty exhibition is a public forum whereby students, other faculty, alumni, and the general public can see, review, and critique.

This is an opportunity to examine the depth and quality of art being created by those leading the art department, so take some time when visiting the exhibition, and enjoy the work by K-State’s outstanding faculty artists.
