Earth Works: Selections from the Permanent Collection
June 4, 2013 - August 4, 2013.
From geology to mythology, from archeology to sedimentology, the earth has many stories. It is often referred to as "Mother." It is the source for food, fuel, and even art supplies. It is revered and feared. In conjunction with the Kansas Library Association summer 2013 reading theme "Dig into Reading," the Beach Museum of Art at Kansas State University invites you to explore some of the many facets of the earth, seen through the eyes of artists in the permanent collection.
August 27, 2013 – November 24, 2013
Photography's evolution as an art form, influenced by countless individuals, thematic styles, and chemical processes, is traced in this exhibition of thirty archival photographs from the collection of the Syracuse University Art Galleries, New York.
September 6, 2013 - December 22, 2013
Works of art by regional and American artists have been donated to the Beach Museum of Art in honor of Kansas State University student Sarah Watt (born 1982), who died in a car accident in 2006. A selection of these works given by her parents, John and Susan Watt of Wamego, Kansas, and family friends Chuck Stroh and Linda Powell will be featured in this exhibition.
