Night of Wonder

This event is sold out. Thank you for your support!

The Friends of the Beach Museum of Art present Night of Wonder on Friday, September 20, 2013. Cocktails, complimentary wine and beer, fine dining, and a variety of entertainment will enliven the Beach Museum of Art from 6 to 9 p.m.

Night of Wonder echoes the Museum of Wonder exhibition by juxtaposing interesting pieces as individual curiosities that illuminate one another. The evening also celebrates the array of talent on our campus, highlighting the contributions of students and faculty and their contributions to our community during K-State's 150 years. Tickets are $125 apiece; funds from the event go to the Kansas Arts Fund to help the museum add to its collection.

Featured entertainment will include:

  • Patricia Thompson sings cabaret;
  • "Quiet City" by Aaron Copland, performed by K-State music faculty with members of the K-State Dance Workshop;
  • "Three Questions for Solo Marimba," written and performed by Bryce Craig with members of the K-State Dance Workshop;
  • An interactive sculpture featuring students from the Department of Interior Architecture and Product Design and members of the K-State Dance Workshop;
  • A digital art exhibition by faculty and students from the K-State Department of Art;
  • Plus some surprises!

Cocktail attire is appropriate. To purchase tickets or RSVP, call 785.532.7718 or email longpine@ksu.edu
