Conservation

The conservation and care of the museum’s collection is a fundamental part of the mission of the Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art.

Individuals seeking advice about conservation of objects in their personal collections may want to consult a conservation professional. The American Institute for Conservation (AIC) provides information and an online form to find a conservator with the specific expertise you require.

Appraisals and authentications

The museum's staff cannot provide valuations, appraisals, or authentications for works of art. Appraisals and authentications should be sought from a certified appraiser or reputable auction house.

The following professional appraisal organizations publish directories of their members. Appraisers listed in these directories can be found by state and city. You may also find appraisers listed in your local or regional phone directories. Always seek an appraiser with an expertise in the type of artwork you own.
