Museum offering special workshops for Military families this fall

Healing Arts Events for Military Families

Military Spouse Night (childcare provided)

September 27, 2012 6:30-8 p.m.

Join us for dessert, a tour of the "Goodnight Moon" exhibition, and a collage workshop. Museum staff will provide activities for your children while you enjoy fellowship with other military spouses and make night-sky themed cards to send to loved ones. Please feel free to bring photos or others bits and pieces to be added.

Military Parent and Child Workshop

October 25, 2012 6:30-8 p.m.

Get ready for Halloween by making night-themed decorations for your child. The program will include a quick tour of the "Goodnight Moon" exhibition and refreshments. This workshop is for Service Members and their child/children to enjoy some time together.

Military Couples Date Night (childcare provided)

November 8, 2012 6:30-8 p.m.

Enjoy a date night with a book/nightlight project designed to exchange with your spouse. Participants will create a small lighted acrylic box with a magnet that will contain a tiny "book" dedicated to their spouse. Refreshments will be provided and museum staff will provide activities for your children.
