Appraisals and authentications

The museum's staff cannot provide valuations, appraisals, or authentications for works of art. Appraisals and authentications should be sought from a certified appraiser or reputable auction house.

The following professional appraisal organizations publish directories of their members. Appraisers listed in these directories can be found by state and city. You may also find appraisers listed in your local or regional phone directories. Always seek an appraiser with an expertise in the type of artwork you own.
