Good Boy, Bad Boy: The Prints of John Boyd

2013 Friends of the Beach Museum of Art Gift Print Artist

March 8, 2013 - May 26, 2013

This survey exhibition of John Boyd's printmaking and papermaking captures the humor and occasional darkness in his art. Boyd's work is both personal—pets and family members often appear as characters—and reflective of larger themes in film, music, and literature. The struggle between good and evil is especially significant refrain in the artist's work, which demonstrates an impressive versatility and technical complexity. Boyd was an instructor in lithography at Wichita State University from 1972 to 2008.
